I don't believe they're treating Canadians on purpose or to prove a point or anything, but it seems that they aren't treating them in an equal way as they treat Americans. The e-books is one of several examples of this. Perhaps Apple Canada is not pulling their weight as well as their headquarters in the US, who knows? As far as the copyright and/or distribution laws go, Canadians have the Amazon Kindle e-book reader, as well as, other e-readers. I highly doubt it's a legal issue, it's more likely to be just a mistake....but a big one.

The e-book issue is likely a copyright or distribution issue with publishers. It would only make sense that if Candians have different laws they may be treated differently in order to not break their own laws. Just saying they may be treating Canadians so wrong on purpose.
